Through baptism, Christians understand they are called upon to assume their roles in ministering to one another at the liturgy. Various gifts are given to the community and although these gifts are different, they come from one and the same Spirit. Liturgical ministry is an expression of stewardship, and is a rewarding opportunity to share your time and talent with your parish community.
“The Church desires that all the faithful be led to that full, conscious, and active participation in liturgical celebrations called for by the nature of the liturgy. Such participation by the Christian people is their right and duty by reason of their baptism.” (Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, #14)
Liturgy is the heart of the worship experience. Liturgical ministers serve in various capacities to facilitate a prayerful and inspirational experience for all who worship.
