Wednesday Bible Study

The Wednesday Bible Study meets at St. John the Baptist Pastoral Center (1501 Virginia Avenue, Monaca), in the Faith Formation Room at 10:00AM.

We will be viewing DVD’s, featuring presentations by Dr. Regis Martin, Professor of Theology of Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio and presenter from EWTN, along with Dr. Scott Hahn.  Bible references will be from The Holy Bible, The Revised Standard Version: 2nd Catholic Edition.

Beginning in November, we will engage in a study on the Last Four Things. The schedule will be as follows:

• November 6, 2024 - Introducing the Study of the Four Last Things
• November 13, 2024 - The Christian Conception of Time and Its Relation To the Last Things
• November 20, 2024 - Exploring the Nature and Dynamism of Hope
• December 2, 2024 - On First Opening the Door of Death
• December 11, 2024 - On Seeing Death as a Christian and the Consolation It Brings
• January 8, 2025 - The Jig Is Up: On Judgment and the World to Come
• January 15, 2025 - On Going to Hell
• January 22, 2025 - On the Reality and Nature of Heaven
