The faith community of St. John the Baptist, Monaca, would like to extend a very special thank you to Monaca’s Chief of Police, David Piuri, and the Monaca Police Department for their assistance with our Eucharistic Procession through town last Tuesday. May St. Michael the Archangel and Our Lady watch continuously over them.

On October 18th the Church celebrates World Mission Sunday. This annual, worldwide Eucharistic celebration emphasizes our shared baptismal call to mission. Br. Cassian will be hosting a Lector Training Workshop for lectors at St. John the Baptist on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 11:00AM. This training will be for new lectors and a refresher for our current lectors. We would like to begin using lectors at our Masses soon. Training for lectors at our other parishes will be announced soon.

The next Book Club meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 6:00PM at Eat-n-Park in Monaca. We are attempting to meet in person this time so we can greet all our new members. (For details, click on the heading.)
